Use this cast aluminum base with nylon pulley to raise a flag when mounted to a vertical surface. Mount on light poles, decks, anywhere. Add a cleat somewhere below this and you have a "flagpole". Nylon pulley works with this item being that it is not meant to be hoisting a heavy load. Best with 1/4" nylon halyard.

Coupled with a 6" or 9" cleat, halyard and two snaps, this is a very inexpensive technique to turn every light pole in a parking lot or car dealership into a flagpole. Unlike using tie wraps to attach flags or banners to area light poles, this method allows for ease in raising, lowering and changing flags and banners without hoists or ladders. Flags and banners can also be quickly removed from light poles in inclement weather.
